2021 RAM 1500 vs 2021 Ford F-150

Serving Gouverneur, NY

The RAM 1500 is one of the top vehicles among large trucks. With some new features in 2021, including more safety and technology, the RAM 1500 is better than ever. The 1500 offers many choices if you want to customize your truck beyond the list of standard amenities for each trim level. There are many trims to choose from and multiple engines, along with standalone upgrades and packages. One of the RAM’s competitors is the 2021 Ford F-150, which is also a large truck. The RAM 1500 has some advantages compared to the Ford, including the fact that its interior is more comfortable and quiet. The RAM also has exceptional power and tow ratings. A stylish exterior finishes the RAM’s list of most notable attributes when compared to the 2021 Ford F-150.

Interior

The 2021 RAM 1500 has a quiet, contemporary, and spacious cabin. Along with the standard interior features found on all trim levels, the RAM is now available with some additional technology features in 2021, including a digital rearview mirror, a head-up display for the infotainment system, a larger 12-inch touchscreen display, and more trailer safety technology. These amenities, which are available across the lineup, can be added to the list of standard features for each trim. The first trim, called the Tradesman, has a five-inch touchscreen display system. Air conditioning is standard, and the audio system is a six-speaker stereo. An 8.4-inch infotainment system is included with the second trim, and you have the option of getting a 12-inch display instead. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also added with the second trim level. Further up the line, the Laramie gets leather seats. The Ford starts out with an eight-inch display screen, but a larger touchscreen isn’t offered until much further up the line. The Ford also has less space for occupants and storage.

Performance & Handling

With a new supercharged engine on the top trim level, the RAM 1500 is capable of 702 HP in maximum power. That power output far surpasses the F-150, which has a top power output of 430 HP. The RAM also has a fuel-efficient diesel engine. The RAM also has a higher tow rating than the Ford at 12,750 pounds.

Style

The base trim level of the RAM 1500 has 18-inch wheels made of steel, while aluminum wheels and fog lights come with the second trim level. LED lights are standard with the third trim of the RAM 1500, but they are not available until further up the line for the Ford F-150.
