2021 Jeep Cherokee vs 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Serving Gouverneur, NY

The Jeep Cherokee has set standards for other SUVs to follow throughout its decades-long history. It has consistently met the robust needs of drivers with active lifestyles throughout its impressive evolution. The Grand Cherokee joined the Jeep lineup 27 years ago as a larger, premium alternative to the Cherokee. Both of these popular Jeep models have what it takes to impress you across every mile traveled, but a deeper look will reveal the model that is suited for your expectations and lifestyle.

Performance

You will not be disappointed with the robust capabilities of either of these Jeep models. They both meet Jeep’s trail-rated certification standards, and they are both available with several powertrains. One of the Cherokee’s three powertrains is a 271-horsepower, Pentastar V6, 3.2-liter engine. The most powerful engine available in the Jeep line today is found in the Grand Cherokee. This is a 707-horsepower, supercharged V8, 6.2-liter engine.

Appearance

The 2021 Cherokee expresses its command of the road throughout a sporty, modern façade. The Jeep-specific grille bends perfectly to conform to the Cherokee’s rounded nose. Compared to the Grand Cherokee, the nose has a steeper angle, and both the roof and the sides have more dramatic curvature. The Cherokee’s exterior is also equipped with thick side molding, raised roof rails, foglamps, and LED headlamps. The Grand Cherokee has a formidable façade with relatively flat surfaces through the angled hood and nose. From its larger grille to its overall height, it exudes a sense of power. Its exterior equipment includes integrated roof rails, foglamps, and a hands-free liftgate.

Features

Throughout the interior, the Cherokee and Grand Cherokee share numerous traits. They are both two-row models with a pronounced center stack through the dashboard. The stack holds a color display screen that is placed in between two tall air vents. These vehicles are equipped with smart device integration, premium materials, assistive safety features, a rear camera, heat for the front row and steering wheel, a sound system, and other equipment at various trim levels.
